Rose Strong

A rose blooms

only when given its nutrients

sunlight 

and soothing stories

Stories carried on the winds of spring,

tales trailing the autumn hum,

and biting after the cold winds of winter

But, roses stand strong.

Weeds of beauty 

with thorns of peasantry. 

In pale moonlight,

for one final light,

they glisten in morning dew

shivering for the sun.
