Go sit in your car.

Watch the rain

plop on your windshield,

expand and elongate

down the slopes,

trickling into streams

Listen to the rain

pitter patter on the glass,

tinkle the metal roofing.

Feel the sound

reverberate off your skin

Be the rain.

Take up space.

When you land in conversation

speak softly for the most part

but, tinkle every now and then

to rewrap your audience back

into the flow of your talk.

Stay if you resonate.

Roll on if they don't.
